Christmas 2018

The last few weeks have been fast and furious and a lot of fun!

We celebrated our family of four Christmas a day early, per usual. Somehow enjoying "Christmas morning" on Christmas Eve has now become a tradition in our house. We love spending actual Christmas day with extended family every year, but we don't love having to rush the girls through their presents all while watching the clock to make it to our next destination. Celebrating a day early allows us a full day to to savor, play, wear pajamas, and just take it all in.

A few pictures from our Christmas . . .

Clara loved the Noonday Collection garland we got for our tree. Pretty much unraveled it daily.

Setting out cookies and milk for Santa.

Our tradition since Clara's first Christmas . . .
lights on the floor leading them from their rooms to their stockings.

"Santa" made music boxes for both girls.
Santa let us know this won't be happening every year as it took a very long time to put together.
Camille got a ballerina box and Clara a carousel.

First used but new-to-her full size American Girl doll.

Santa also brought Clara a toy phone from the 90's, which ironically, ended up being her favorite gift.
She played with it for six hours straight.

Rubberbands to twiddle are her love language.

Checking out the lights once again.

All of those presents under the tree are for extended family, FYI. Ha.
We don't go that crazy for the four of us.

Love. Them. So. Much.

After the excitement of stockings and gifts, Camille remembered to check the front driveway for reindeer hoof prints.
Yep, she remembered she had reindeer food leftover from last Christmas and thus, there was no debating the idea.

Proof!

We had a great Christmas Eve morning, followed by a lovely Christmas Day with Brandon's family, followed by a fun and quick exchange with my side on the 26th (we all left for Disney together early on the 27th, thus the need to be quick!).

Next up?

DISNEY WORLD PICS.

  1. I forgot about the lights leading to their presents tradition- I love that!! And very smart celebrating on Christmas Eve. We did get to do Christmas morning at home this year, but then we hosted lunch/dinner at our house, so the rest of the day was not relaxing in the least :)
