Christmas 2016 In The Books

Dare I say that out of the past four years, this was the most fun, most memorable Christmas yet? It didn't feel stressful or rushed or packed with a million to-do's, which is just the way we like it.

Our Elf, Bingo, was acting crazy the last few days before Christmas . . .

Making Christmas (and apparently Valentines) cookies . . .

We typically celebrate Christmas as a little family of four a day or so early, as not to rush our own traditions and family time the morning of Christmas (when we are headed over to family's house). I want to be purposeful and set our own traditions and honor our family of four time, so this seems to work for us.

Christmas Eve was Christmas Day for our family this year and it was so. much. fun. Camille's age combined with Clara's increasing awareness and interest in general made for a fantastic combination.

Santa brought Clara a full size light-up keyboard and she basically went nuts. All day long. I have never seen more joy on a child's face. Also, I have watched these videos approximately 632 times.

Santa brought Camille a battery operated princess riding vehicle. A major hit! Needless to say, we have spent a lot of time outside riding in circles. :)

Christmas with my side of the family . . . I hardly got any pictures of extended family!

Attempt at a cousin picture . . . #nailedit . . .

Christmas with Brandon's side of the family . . .

Clara's happy place . . . she could watch twinkle lights for days. . .

Christmas craft for the kids . . .

Another Christmas in the books! Thankful for family and memories and most of all, the hope found in Jesus' birth.

As for plans for the remainder of 2016? Getting my almost-three-year-old (I know) potty trained. Here we go!
