Clara made her grand appearance on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 1:29pm. She weighed 6 pounds 5 ounces and measured 20 inches long. She is absolutely adorable and we are so in love!!! Hope you enjoy a few pictures from our few days at the hospital. I plan to write a post about her birth story, just so I can look back and remember, but that will have to come eventually. Right now the three of us are just getting to know each other, enjoying lots of cuddle time and learning the ropes of caring for an infant. Catch up with you all soon! Thanks for all the love and prayers over the last nine months!

What a beautiful blessing! Make sure you jot down that birth story quickly, it seems so clear and then all of a sudden it isn't anymore :) Enjoy your new role as mamma!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations! There is nothing like the new momma feeling. Clara is gorgeous! My friend wrote a parenting book that talks about how to let the Holy Spirit lead you in new mommy decisions. If you start to feel overwhelmed,I know I did, pick up Spirit-Led Paratning. It is full of wonderful encouraging stories and support. Enjoy your bundle and we will be very excited to watch her grow!
ReplyDeleteI actually won Spirit- Led Parenting from the Simple Mom blog! I am so thrilled to start reading it. Thanks for your encouragement.

Thanks so much! Good tip about the NB clothes. I have a few outfits but might need a few more items. When we were discharged she was 5 pounds 14 ounces and at her 3 day pedi appt her weight hadn't changed. Love our petite little girls!!
DeleteCongratulations!!!! She is beautiful. Hope you're doing well ; )
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Sarah. We are doing great... just adjusting!! Loving every (sleepless) second! ha!
DeleteOh, she is just beautiful!!! I'm so glad you posted pics. I've been checking obsessively!! She is so petite and cute. I was that weight when I was born too...it's fun to see the perspective shots like her with the bow (last shot) because my parents' camera wasn't as good in 1985 as cameras are today :) It gives me a glimpse into how tiny I might have been. I hope she is a happy baby and I know you are a happy mama! Congratulations, congratulations, congratulations. Blessings abound!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you SO much!! We are in heaven. :)
