Monday, October 5th in photos . . .
5:30am . . . Coffee and digging into my First 5 devotional. Working my way through Genesis and loving it. And yes, I get up super early but (to me) it is so worth it. I am naturally a morning person but there is such an amazing difference in my attitude when I wake up to my day and not to my kids. I base my mornings loosely off of the concept of Hello Mornings.
6:30am. . . Littlest girl is up for the day (she typically rises around this time). We watch a show and cuddle and have some breakfast.
7:30am. . . Have to wake up this girl and pry her out of bed because she is a teenager in a three year olds body. At least she was flashing a smile this particular morning. The next hour is the typical morning
9:30am. . . Park play date with friends. Camille was having a rough morning so we jetted early, but it was still a fun get-together with sweet friends.
10:30am - 1:30pm. . . Camille fell asleep on the way home from the park and since I knew there was no point in trying to keep her up, I just put her in bed for an earlier than usual nap. So the hours Camille was napping was spent packing for an upcoming trip while simultaneously listening to an audio book (Rare Bird), a little internet browsing, and crossing random house things off the to do list.
1:30pm. . . Camille is up and ready for her late lunch. Funny thing is she hardly wants to eat unless I feed her myself. This is a new thing and not actually funny. Please don't get me started. After lunch we play at home and run an errand before heading to get Clara.
3:00pm. . . Waiting in the carpool line to pick up Clara. I spy a curly head cutie coming my way!
3:30pm. . . We are home and this girl is so sleepy. She took a short car nap and then just wanted to lay on the couch. I finally bribe her awake with the promise of heading outside to swing.
4:00 - 5:00pm. . . Enjoying time together in the backyard. Swinging, sliding, and living it up in this amazing weather.
5:00pm. . . Dinner for these cuties.
6:00pm. . . Brandon arrived home much earlier than usual so we jetted out for a quick trip to a new park nearby. So fun! Such a nice, unexpected way to end the day.
And that, my friends, was our/my Monday in a nutshell. A pretty good day!
Not pictured: Many diaper changes, too much Daniel Tiger, toddler tantrum(s) and a mommy meltdown. Just keeping it real.
I love this!! It's been over a YEAR since I did a day-in-the-life post, and I keep wanting to do another...but it is just SO much work!! Photo-an-hour seems a little more doable, so I'll try that, maybe!! ANyway- Clara's bedhead is the best thing ever. I love her crib sheet, too!!
ReplyDeleteLove this! I also love how much of a wild woman Camille is, though I know she tests your patience :) And I said this on the last post, but Clara just looks more grown up in every picture you post of her! Glad the new park was a success!
ReplyDeleteSeriously too much cuteness! I wish we lived closer. Eli and Clara must meet someday, and us too (obviously☺). Decided! Have a great week
ReplyDeleteAlways love these posts!! And I agree with Amanda - Clara is looking so grown up!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! I love getting glimpses into others day-to-day life. Maybe because I'm nosy. ;) You are inspiring me to work harder at getting up before the girls. STRUGGLING with this one though because we are in a season of (generally) lots of night wake-ups for the girls.
ReplyDeleteWe have too much Daniel tiger and a few mommy meltdowns a day here too! And I'm glad to know we aren't the only people that eat separate from our kids. I see no point in trying to eat with a toddler!
