We've had a fun few days as my sis got married last night! It was so fun being a part of her day! We have lots of family still in town so we plan to soak up every second.
Do you think this flower girl enjoyed herself? She sure did. And she sure did want me to hold her during the entire ceremony. Well, ok. No problem. I will hold all 30 pounds of you with one arm so that I can hold two bouquets and the groom's ring in the other. No biggie. Oh and you want down and back up 5x and then decide to prance back down and up the isle and eventually over to the groomsmen while the wedding is still going on??? Go right ahead. I may or may not have been sweating buckets.
Clara's school has been working with her for a few weeks on her flower girl assignment. They have been training her to hold the basket and drop petals. She was doing SO WELL at school and even did well during the rehersal, but sadly right before her big debut she got a little frazzled and didn't make it down the isle. Sweet girl. I sure do appreciate that her school did their best and took the time to teach her a skill that she would not typically be able to do.
Make it a great day!
I can't get over the sweetness of Clara's school doing that!! What a wonderful place you've found for her, seriously. And yay for your sis! Looking forward to seeing pictures! And I'm assuming that the translation of your recap is, "Thanks, Camille, for the great workout so that I'd look extra hot in my bridesmaid attire!," right? ;)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see more pictures!! And I agree with Amanda - I love that Clara's school helped her with that and props to her for doing her best!
ReplyDeleteZoe was a flower girl last January in David's best friend's wedding. She was THRILLED about it and told everyone for weeks beforehand that she was a flower girl. She rocked the rehearsal. On the wedding day, she was eager to be with all of the bridesmaids and waited patiently in the line for her turn. As soon as she walked through the doors, she let out a scream and tried to run away and back out the doors. Given her excitement about the role, we had not discussed this possibility, so my instinctive reaction was to pick her up and carry her down the aisle. I joked that I was the honorary flower girl. :) I am not eager for anyone to ask us to be in their wedding anytime soon!! Clara looks like a very sweet flower girl and Camille looks like she took the role quite seriously as well.
